ABSTRACT
There is, however, no discussion or recommendation in the existing literature regarding the continuation of research on human subjects that is unrelated to the infection during pandemics. Such research would range from population-based epidemiological surveys to patient-oriented research (FOR) projects, many of which take place in hospitals and academic medical centres that may be the 'hot spots' in such outbreaks.
