ABSTRACT

THis Day, was a precious Day, when God Almighty shew’d His Infinite Goodness to this House, in preserving the King, Nobles and Commons from the Hellish Plot which the Divel, Pope and Jesuits had contrived to make a final destruction of the Protestant Religion, and happy Constitution of this Kingdom, both in Church and State; for which great Mercy, the very Remembrance thereof cannot but move your Lordships hearts to set forth His Praises, and to Intreat His Divine Majesty to fight oar Battles, and to overthrow the Pretender, and to scatter his Armies, that the Kingdom may be delivered from the Popish-Yoak that we may give God the Glory for the Victory; we are not worthy of the least of His Mercies, but through the Merits of Christ the Almighty can make your Lordships more than Conquerours, for you made my heart Rejoyce for to see how bravely you begun, and how sincere you was both Lords and Commons for King George before he came, and did all Things with great Wisdom and Prudence, and can’t you do as much for your own Souls, for now yon will War for a Crown of Glory for to be true and sincere for Christ, against Anty-Christ, for whoever is for the Pretender must be Popishly inclined, and it greives me to think that the Jacobites are, for they will loose their Crown of Glory, for they delude themselves in vain hopes, and believe Lyes; but I hope in God, that the Lord will give you sincere Hearts that you may keep in the Truth, and He hath sent a Prince to help you, and it is a great Sin for any to slight him or despise him, or to have a treacherous Heart towards him for to be for the Pretender, for to be fore God will find them out, and they do lie Lyable of his Punishments, for they will be found to be His Enemies, for to overthrow His Kingdom, and to fight against God, for the Kingdom is His, and He can give it to whom He pleases; and the Almighty hath made me always Sincere for Crown’d Heads, I never was for Popery nor for a Common-Wealthy but to divert Gods Judgments that he might not Destroy this Kingdom; and I have made Application for above this 40 Years to Kings, Queens and Princes, to break of their Sins, and that they might pray to God to divert his Judgments from their Kingdoms, I told them which way they should do it all along; but however they rejected it, and could not do it, and so brought evil upon themselves, which I would a prevented, but I could not, being that I was a Woman: O! That I had been a Man it would have been the same Thing. Well now as I am a Woman hearken to me now, after above 40 Years speaking, which I can’t tell you without Tears, for there is heavier Judgments than what hath hapened which threaten this Kingdom, for the wilful Sins which hath provoked the Almighty, and the destroying Angels are ready for to destroy, for it is their delight 5 and it is the Lords goodness to prevent them, and His tender Mercy is so great that He is not willing to destroy Us if we would but do any Thing to appease his Wrath: and he hath feat you a Prince that is Sincere, and that desires to glorifie God and to do you good, and if you do not manage this for Gods glory and your own good, you are undone for ever; for God will make the Pretender a Divel for to destroy you and devour you, because you put your Confidence in him and not in God 5 for it is vain hopes to think of any Happiness from him, and to think that he will be a Protestant, yes, it must be for to protest for the Pope, and I can assure you he will never protest against him; and he hath so many Friends to Oblidge, that England must Pay for all; and this is the Reward that your Treachery will bring upon you, and the French and all the Papists will hate you with a Mortal hatred, and when you complain to the Pretender, he will say, you are rightly serv’d, for why did you not do it many Years ago, but now you did it out of Spight, and I give you no Thanks, and so you will Whither like Grass upon the house-top, and none to Pity you; therefore for the Lords-fake Consider and Repent, and be all Sincere to God and King George, which will be the only way through the Merits of Christ to Appease Gods Anger, and to divert His Judgments: And pray be Comfortable to King George, and pray for Him, and God will make him to be a Comfort to the whole Kingdom, and I allure you I do daily when ever 1 think on him, and the very thoughts that he was a Stranger and don’t know who to trust moves me the more, that God would be pleased to Guide, Direct and Keep him, and make him more than a Conquerour over all his Enemies, which the Lord grant, Amen. Amen.
