ABSTRACT
Children’s outdoor play and playgrounds have not been seen to be a design issue and the need for beauty in the play yard has rarely been mentioned in western societies. Therefore, it was a great surprise to me to find in the statement of purpose for Kindergartens in China “The gardens should be made green and beautiful.”
