ABSTRACT
This chapter ofTers an overview of the state of the discussion and practice relating to the judicial enforcement of social rights in Latin America. It does not purport to trace a comprehensive picture. Rather it highlights some of the most controversial issues, obstacles and challenges, and describes how different national courts in the region have dealt with these rights.
