The Republic of Poland is a country of approximately 38 million people, bordering Germany to the west, the Baltic Sea and the Kaliningrad region of Russia to the north, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine to the east, and the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south. Warsaw is the capital and largest city.
