ABSTRACT

The most successful entrepreneurs thrive in environments that would worry many people to death, yet they report enjoying their hectic lifestyles. Both coach and mentor will be confronted by a large number of people problems as part of their roles. A book on coaching and mentoring without a section on how to coach stress problems is simply inconceivable. The higher ranking personnel have more control over their environments, actions and outcomes. The senior management are so stressed out, they can see no way of solving the situation. However, since most successful people in business have developed highly sophisticated people skills, they usually have first-rate counselling skills without even knowing it. At time of writing, industrial stress injury claims are starting to gather pace; large sums of money have been paid to employees emotionally damaged by stress factors in their workplace.
