ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the extent of the various components of wastage and their perceived causes in the Kenyan context. The problem of wastage is pervasive in Africa. The extent of wastage in Kenya is representative of wastage problem in the African region. This assumption is tested by examining the characteristics of the distributions of African countries on the extent of non-enrolment, and repetition.
