mainly dry and sunny in western districts. 1992 A fine, sunny day. Cloudier in Scotland with some showers in the far north. 1997 Sunny and dry throughout the country. Warm away from south facing coasts. 2001 Cloudy and wet at times in North and East. Drier and sunnier in South and West. 2005 Cloud and patchy rain across much of the country. Mostly dry in southern England.
