Alternative approaches to gathering information in air traffic control selection research

Air traffic control selection research, like pilot selection, has traditionally employed statistical regression models such as mUltiple linear regression to validate the tests used to select trainees. A few selection studies have reported the use of other regression models such as discriminant analysis (Collins, Nye & Manning, 1990) and logistic regression (Raju, Steinhaus, Edwards & DeLessio, 1991) to validate a selection test programme.
