ABSTRACT

At the end of the TAPin project, an open-ended questionnaire (see Figure 12.1) was distributed to 21 LIS staff involved in the delivery of the TAPin model of planned support for academic staff in their use of networked information, to examine the overall impact of the project on them. The recipients had been named by academic staff as having provided one-to-one training or support in the exploitation of networked resources. In addition, at the end of the project a focus group consisting of the senior LIS managers at the partner institutions was held to elicit the views of those most closely involved, on its effect and on the model’s potential to establish guidelines for future LIS activity.
