ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to show off visual material that might otherwise go unexploited and to identify the significant features of the posters - whether images or words. Big posters are difficult to look at without using the full space and potential of the classroom walls. The posters or other visual images are displayed, and students are asked to tour the gallery in pairs. With Post-it notes in hand they are encouraged to identify key images or words on the posters - jotting down their points on the Post-it notes, and sticking these on the posters in appropriate places. Students will be stimulated and engaged by the visual material, and discussion, both in the pairs and in the whole-group will be provoked.
