ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the activity of the press conference in a nutshell, aim of the activity, need of the activity, time required for the activity, how the activity works and the advantages of the activity. This activity aims to bring out the important issues, the key arguments and the academic debates surrounding the central personality, and to provoke the question-askers into devising questions from specific and well defined perspectives. Students are put on the spot and asked to think and act in set roles. The press conference contains an important element of drama and theatre. Students will have to consider their questions carefully in terms of obtaining answers that cast light on the real issues at play.
