ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the activity of dream statistics in a nutshell, aim of the activity, time required for the activity, how the activity works and the advantages of the activity. This is an open-ended, but highly stimulating, activity. It encourages students to think about the different types, and various meanings, of statistics. The activity aims to present and discuss data in an imaginative way and to provoke students into thinking about the nature of statistics, and how they are determined. Dream statistics forces students to hypothesize and think intelligently about statistics; and it can provoke excellent discussion on the nature of statistics. Students may be slightly confused about the words 'plausible' and 'convincing' these two key words need to be discussed prior to the exercise.
