ABSTRACT
Annie succeeded, though with some doubts & anxieties in getting to Swinton but had to spend most of her time in bed. Still she always enjoys her visits there and did not regret the journey. There was a rather unexciting party but good shooting … I find I shall have to curtail my visit to the Bridgemans and go to London on Tuesday returning next day for functions here. It is Indian affairs that are taking me up but I shant be sorry to have a few hours at the office as there is a “bye” in East Bristol and other urgent matters to attend to.
