ABSTRACT
It was because Plato did not think that perfect harmony could be found in ‘the world’s body’ (the material world), that is, that it was not possible to give a thoroughly geometrical account of the material world, that he introduced the world soul, which did show harmony and number, in a way or to a degree which the material world did not.
