Atoms

In the Atomists, Democritus and Leucippus, we have an interesting, but very different, treatment of the relation between thinking and physical motion from that of Plato and Anaxagoras.1

Only one quoted remark by Leucippus remains. Democritus was his pupil and often refers to his views. We shall pay almost exclusive attention to Democritus.
