ABSTRACT
Introduction Germany is the hand that rocks the cradle of the European Union. Neither the EU nor the euro would exist today if Germany had not agreed to the terms and conditions that created the regional bloc and introduced the new currency, which have always been favorable to Germany and have been accepted by the other member states. Germany has become the big brother of the project, and when Germany speaks, the EU listens.
