At this point, you should consider making a final selection of a problem area within which to propose research. You should also have a list of variables of interest within the area. The variables should have been derived from your study of research articles, including those with strong theoretical underpinnings. Also, you should combine variables into research questions. You should try to write a number of combinations so that you can evaluate them and choose the best among them.
