ABSTRACT
The American Sociological Association’s ASA Style Guide specifies a version of the “authordate” method for in-text citations. This method can be parenthetical or non-parenthetical, as described below. For each in-text citation, there should be a full bibliographic reference in the reference list at the end of the manuscript. The preparation of reference lists in ASA style is described in the next topic.
