ABSTRACT
The first chapter in this part (Chapter 17) covers basic descriptive statistics that are widely used by quantitative researchers. Because descriptive statistics are also used by qualitative researchers to describe the demographics of their participants, this chapter will be useful to both quantitative and qualitative researchers.
