ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we discuss several issues related to the quality of data that a researcher wishes to
subject to a multivariate analysis. These issues must be carefully considered and addressed prior to the
actual statistical analysis-they are essentially an analysis within the analysis! Only after these quality assurance issues have been examined can the researcher be confident that the main analysis will be an honest
one, which will ultimately result in valid conclusions being drawn from the data.
