ABSTRACT

This chapter assesses the initial compariability of the various experimental and control groups of pupils on the behavioral and self-report measures. It examines the reliability of all the assessment measures to demonstrate their degree of stability. The chapter presents the specific behavioral effects of the workshop intervention on teachers' classroom behavior. It also examines behavioral changes of all the experimental groups of pupils. The chapter executes supplemental analyses for the secondary issues involving predictor variables of teacher success as behavior change agents nonbehavioral trait effects on pupils, and attitude changes of workshop teachers. Moreover, further research should examine and verify the role of teachers' contingent social reinforcement in the production of behavior change in mildly problematic and normal children who are not being specifically treated by the teachers. The suggestion is, of course, based on the assumption that even the subtle, unplanned effects of social reinforcement procedures are quite powerful.
