ABSTRACT

Radio and television stations rarely make quick decisions about who to hire especially when they are hiring someone new to the industry. So be prepared to spend some very nervous days hoping that we are about to get our first important break. A good interview is a conversation, not an interrogation. That means that information should be going both ways. Employers want to hire a person who wants the job they are offering. Not just any job, because they need a job, but that specific job. Stating that in our thank-you email will let them know that this is the job that we want and that this is the station that we want to be a part of. We can also keep the lines of communication going very easily by dropping the person we interviewed a line when something happens in our career.
