ABSTRACT

A society of uncertainty generates a society of insecurity, where all the liquid characteristics resulting from the loss of certain reference values exacerbate the individual’s sense of disorientation; he no longer feels safe in the society he lives in. The feeling of insecurity has precise origins which psychoanalysis has long since been able to explain and which are closely linked to fear and anxiety: diversity, darkness, incomprehension, danger, dissatisfaction, distrust, insecurity, and threat.
