ABSTRACT
This chapter is on leadership communication in sport, and it specifies how such leadership communication differs from management communication. The chapter also provides descriptions of various leadership styles and approaches, including a few that were developed specifically for sport communication. Furthermore, it discusses how organizational climate and culture impact leadership communication and the relationship between power and leadership communication within sporting organizations. The chapter ends by providing several examples of how successful sporting personalities communicate leadership.
