ABSTRACT
This chapter explains why concern about energy is so important, explores the energy need in the world and details the sources of energy and renewable energy. It describes the importance of electrical energy and renewable energy, examines the knowledge of electricity and electronics. Despite the remarkable growth of renewable energy in many industrialized countries, the renewable energy covers only a small fraction of the total electrical energy demand. As a professional individual when working with electricity, we must avoid any unsafe conditions by following the safety rules. Electricity, despite all its advantages, comes with certain dangers, and in working with electricity, one has the risk of facing the contained, but invisible, danger in it. The chapter provides the importance of safety at work and some basic safety rules, some examples of static electricity and a number of applications of static electricity.
