ABSTRACT
Chapter 2: Third Theatre: A genealogy of the practice traces out a genealogical consideration of the Third Theatre, by focusing on key praxical approaches such as knowledge exchange events, Theatre Anthropology and cultural action such as barter, before analysing the transnational Encounters that have taken place in Europe and Latin America since the 1970s, through which the Third Theatre community was consolidated.
