ABSTRACT
Chapter 3: LUME (Brazil) maps out the praxis of one of the most important theatre collectives in Brazil. LUME is internationally renowned for the development of a unique approach to deeply embodied performer training which fuses Theatre Anthropology with clowning and Asian theatre practices, particularly Butoh. This aspect of the group’s practice will be the focus of this Case Study.
