ABSTRACT
Chapter 4: Grupo Cultural Yuyachkani (Peru) focuses on one of the most emblematic groups of contemporary Latin American theatre. Yuyachkani continues to develop innovative dramaturgical strategies that contribute to the continued valence of the laboratory theatre tradition by exploring embodied social memory in relation to ethnicity and violence in Peru. This aspect of the group’s praxis will be particularly emphasised.
