ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in this book. The book helps school leaders to understand how powerful communication can be for any school, whether their school is state sector or fee paying. It explains in simple everyday language, how to find the balance between too much and not enough communication for their school. The book enables school leaders to communicate with meaning in ways that connect them with their audiences. It also helps them to get the message right with their staff, parents and other key school audiences such as the Board of Governors and the local media. They will have a teaching team that is highly engaged and fully behind their school vision, delivering their best every day, who want to stay with them for the long term. Leaders have parents and a local community that work in partnership with their school and talk positively about it to others.
