ABSTRACT
I have already told how Admiral Poset, minister of ways and communications, was obliged to retire after the Borki catastrophe. He had been appointed minister because he had been tutor as well as mentor to Grand Duke Alexis Aleksandrovich. It was he who provided the Grand Duke with naval instruction and commanded the frigate on which the Grand Duke made his round-the-world voyage.
