About a year after the death of my first wife, while attending the theater, I saw a lady who made a very powerful impression on me, although at the time I had no interest in finding out who she was. Later, when I met her, I learned that she was the wife of Lisanevich, nephew of the wife of General-Adjutant Richter, 1 director of the Commission of Petitions.
