ABSTRACT
On February 14, 1901, Karpovich, a former student at the University of Moscow, shot Bogolepov, our minister of education, in the neck. This anarchist attack was the prelude to all those events we experienced between 1901 and 1905 and are still experiencing, because of the Stolypin regime.
