Cotton Textiles

In many ways and for many reasons, cotton textiles (and especially southern cotton textiles) became the major battleground on which the social, political, and economic war over child labor was fought. Of all industries, it received the most attention from the National Child Labor Committee, and most of the focus was on the South. ¹
