ABSTRACT
The founding ancestor of the Guo lineage, Guo Ziyi, lived during the Tang dynasty in Fen Yang prefecture of Shanxi province. Later, he took up residence in Tian Tai county in Tai Zhou prefecture where he fathered four sons. The Guo genealogical poem records thirty-five generations from Guo Ziyi to the present day.
