ABSTRACT

This chapter brings together previous discussions and elaborates on key considerations and elements towards a more holistic and multi-dimensional approach in the design, development, and practice of gamified hybrid teaching and learning. The holistic and multi-dimensional framework emphasises a modular approach, informed by pedagogy-driven, cross-disciplinary and learner-centred design methodology. Insights into key considerations are discussed, which include dimensions, such as ‘people’, ‘space’, ‘content’ and ‘technology’. These dimensions can be used to guide the development ‘process’ as well as practice, which can be adapted and/or adopted by other researchers, practitioners, designers and developers.
