ABSTRACT

In the last chapter we addressed the need for management to have an organizational focus as to how to improve their process in a systematic way using QOS. In this chapter we elaborate the notion that was introduced in the Preface and mentioned in Chapter 2, which was planning. Speci–cally, we are focusing on this topic once again because in the global environment one of the issues in quality is consistency. To make sure that consistency in requirements and performance within the organization and supply chain exists, some form of advanced quality planning (AQP) must exist.
