ABSTRACT

Throughout the book, I raise awareness of the rapid changes in the world, which have turned the old rules of how organizations develop and improve upside down. The new economy demands different types of leaders with a broader perspective and range of qualities. For organizations to succeed, executives must better understand what key leadership behaviors and practices are paramount in driving their organization toward mass collaboration, rapid improvement, rapid results, and sustainable success. This is much more than just getting people to make the right decisions and produce the right outcomes. It is about getting people to be committed to the organization, be passionate about their work, and have a deep desire to grow personally and handle the challenges ahead. The best organizations have already ¥gured this out and are busy executing and sustaining rapid improvement. Figure 6.1 provides an overview of the accelerators of Execution and Sustainability.
