ABSTRACT

The employer wants to know if an applicant can do the job or position being advertised and the applicant needs to convince them that they and not the other people being interviewed is the right person to fill the vacancy. A cover letter is very important, because it allows to personalize the application. What many activities represent is commitment and dedication but also experience of working with people, dealing with customers, taking orders, being trusted to handle money and accepting responsibility. Motivation is very important and most prospective employers will look favorably on a self-motivated individual who is willing to go that extra yard - a person that can be trusted to not only get themselves up and report to work on time, but be given certain responsibilities. A lot of employers look for attitude before aptitude. The task of an interviewer is not easy, especially since he/she is given a short period of time to make a judgement call.
