ABSTRACT

Kenneth T. Walsh is chief White House correspondent for U.S. News & World Report. He is the author of “The Presidency” column for the U.S. News Weekly and the daily blog “Ken Walsh’s Washington” for usnews .com. He has won the most prestigious awards for White House coverage and is the former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association. He has written six other books, including Prisoners of the White House: The Isolation of America’s Presidents and the Crisis of Leadership (2013) and Air Force One: A History of the Presidents and Their Planes (2003). He is a frequent TV and radio commentator on national affairs and does commentary and analysis for WTOP, the all-news station in Washington, DC, every Sunday morning. He has taught in the School of Communication at American University in Washington, DC. Walsh also gives many speeches, both in the United States and abroad. He and his wife Barclay Walsh live in Bethesda, Maryland, and Shady Side, Maryland. They have two children, Jean and Chris.
