As above, so below

The first of Jung’s explanations of astrology, this chapter comprises Jung’s survey of premodern views of harmony or correspondence and the microcosm-macrocosm correspondence that underlies the well-known astrological axiom “as above, so below.” Jung frames his theory of synchronicity (“meaningful coincidence”) as a modern reformulation of these premodern concepts, later using synchronicity to explain astrology.
