ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at best practice for focus pulling, and ‘slating’ putting on the clapper board, keeping technical records, setting up monitors, battery and data management. An in-depth knowledge of these skills is required by camera assistants on larger shoots. The same principles apply when shooting alone.
