Most of the reliable information about these aspects of Zande life and thought is to be found in Professor Evans-Pritchard's monograph, Witchcraft, Oracles and Magic among the Azande, while more than one-third of Lagae's Les Azande is devoted to the same subjects. The following account is merely a brief outline of the material presented in these sources.
