ABSTRACT
The structure and organisation of the Nilotic tribal groups, though showing similarities in many respects and suggesting a certain degree of progressive variation from one or two structural types, cannot be considered in one descriptive whole owing to the complexity of the subject. It is therefore proposed to cansider the main Nilotic groups in turn and in conclusion to point out some of the features common to all.
