ABSTRACT
As predicted by Schmidt and Cohen (2013), communication technologies continue to expand, especially through the global reach of the Internet. By 2025 most of the world will have access to a wide span of information, especially through mobile handheld devices. It is reported that those ages 18 to 30 outpace older Americans in virtually all types of Internet and smartphone use. For this discussion a smartphone is a mobile phone that has a number of services including Internet, texting, and various applications. They are more likely to have their own social networking profiles, to connect to the Internet wirelessly when away from home and work, and to post video and pictures of themselves online.
