ABSTRACT
The application of thermodynamics to open systems is described. The general concepts of classical equilibrium thermodynamics are listed. Gladyshev’s theory is described. The physical theory of biological evolution and its physicochemical models are touched upon. Practical aspects of the thermodynamic theory of living beings are provided.
