ABSTRACT

The practitioner asks questions regarding the primary problem and concerns, and then begins to determine whether there are any discolorations and wrinkles on the surface of the skin before proceeding to palpate along the muscle meridian with two left fingers. This enables the practitioner to check the pressure between the skin and muscle areas. The applied pressure should be gentle, using two fingers with an approximately 3-centimeter gap between the fingers. While pressing the skin alongside the problem area, the internal wrinkle can be observed, which indicates the presence of internal tissue adhesion. This is the point at which the needle is inserted when treating lengthened muscle fibers.
