ABSTRACT

The idle time would have been witnessed with the person after longer name that had a shorter name. This is the problem with station balancing. Excess inventory and idle time are the two main signs of a problem in any line. Standard Work in process is a calculated buffer based on replenishment times utilized to link processes together. The key to continuous synchronized flow and reducing or eliminating these wastes on a machining or assembly line is implementing baton handoff style between line operators and implementing level loading scheduling techniques. Most Lean Company’s implemented station balanced lines sometime ago, and the process has normally never been updated. People should never be the reason for imbalance if the line is set up with baton zone balancing. The key is to focus on quick changeovers for the Lean cell. The first problem we have to generally overcome when running the line is testing.
