ABSTRACT
Jeannie waited for her new client to arrive. She has been working as a volunteer counsellor now for some 12 months. She had qualified a couple of years previously but had wanted to get some experience of working with people using drugs, or who had used drugs. It had seemed such a growing problem to her and she felt sure that the experience would help her in her future career.
