There are more and more stories in the newspapers and on radio and television about health. Some are good and some are, well, not so good. A generation ago, medical stories were rare and virtually only about good news, lives saved, new medical developments, etc. Nowadays many of the items report healthcare professionals who are dishonest, incompetent or frankly whacky! The image of all aspects of healthcare is damaged by these continuous assaults.
